Web Design

I've been doing webpages for several years now, most have been personal sites for my hobbies or simply to learn new techniques. However, lately I've been developing more complex web applications where all the knowledge I had aquired became very useful.a

At the very beginning, I started using plain HTML (XHTML now), then adding CSS to add style and be more consistent, then including some JavaScript and AJAX to add either visual effects or dynamic content, and finally using PHP to create trully dynamic content and database support.

Right now, I am able to design and develop complex websites or web applications from the ground up using all the tools mentioned above, including AJAX. Some of my latests sites include my wife's personal website - loretoherraiz.com -, a site I started several years ago as a hobby - theAnimeGallery.com - and even some online information management systems for the Library of Congress (Digiboard).

In addition to the Web Programming skills using XHTML, CSS, XML, PHP, JavaScript and AJAX, I am also proficient in Flash and Paint Shop Pro, which help me improve the look-n-feel of the sites I develop.
