Photography

This is my latest hobby. I had been wanting a good camera for some time, just to see if I could take amazing pictures like I'd seen on picture galleries. I always found fascinating the effects that could be done by the simple use of lenses, apertures, shutter speeds and other things that only the better cameras had. For that reason, last year I jumped at the chance of getting a DSLR camera on the cheap. My aquisition was a Canon Rebel XT, not the greatest camera out there, but more than enough for someone that had never used anything other than point an shoot cameras.

All I have to say is that it is amazing the difference that a good camera makes. It is a bit of hassle to carry, since it does not fit in your pocket, and most of the time I don't for that reason. But whenever I use it, the results are incredible, and I'm really liking the experience of being an amateur photographer so far.
